The Project Explained

The White Rose Project is a research and outreach initiative led by Dr Alexandra Lloyd at the University of Oxford. It aims to raise awareness in the UK of the White Rose resistance.
2018 marked the 75th anniversary of the first White Rose trials. The project was launched in October 2018 with an exhibition in the Taylor Institution at the University of Oxford. In addition, we commissioned a new translation of the White Rose leaflets to be published alongside the original German. This volume of the Taylorian Treasures series will include contributions by experts on the White Rose. It will be launched in June 2019. An exhibition on the resistance group’s leaflets is running at the Bodleian Library’s Proscholium from May to July 2019.
