22 February, 7.30pm: The White Rose: Voices from the German Resistance – performance at the University Church of St Mary the Virgin (High Street, Oxford) in collaboration with the award-winning vocal ensemble SANSARA. Ancient and modern choral works will be performed alongside readings from the White Rose resistance group’s letters and diaries. The majority of these texts have never appeared in English and speak movingly of courage and conscience. The programme includes Philip Moore, Three Prayers of Dietrich Bonhoeffer; Rudolf Mauersberger, Wie liegt die Stadt so wüst; Arvo Pärt, Da pacem Domine.
