Launch of ‘Translation Conversations’
Translation is at the heart of the White Rose Project’s work. We’ve just launched our third annual Translation Project for undergraduate students at the University of Oxford after two very successful years of running the programme. In this video series, we explore aspects of translation and the White Rose, including catching up with current and former members of the project to discuss what it was like translating the letters, diaries, and pamphlets of the White Rose resistance circle.
Our first conversation is with Eve Mason. Eve studies German and English at the University of Oxford and was one of the very first White Rose Project student translators. Eve is publishing a book of previously untranslated 19th-century German fairy tales by women writers. Find out more on Eve’s blog here.
